The good stuff

What's in the carton

Nest-run means the eggs go from the nest box to the fridge to you — collected fresh, not graded or sized. Expect a mixed carton — every hen lays her own shade.

  • 🧊Kept refrigerated at 45°F or below from the moment they're collected — keep them cold at home too.
  • 📅We hold your carton for 7 days after it's ready, name on it and everything.
  • 🧼Unwashed, so the natural bloom keeps them fresh. Give them a quick rinse before you crack them.
  • 🌽The flock free-ranges the yard and eats a proper layer feed (plus whatever Franny can negotiate).

FAQ

Why pickup only?

Illinois lets small backyard flocks sell eggs directly from the home where the hens live — so that's exactly what we do. No delivery, no shipping, ever. Just a quick, friendly porch pickup.

Where do I pick up?

We're in Carbon Cliff, a few minutes off I-88 in the Quad Cities. The exact address arrives in your "eggs are ready" email — keeps the coop from becoming a tourist attraction. 🐔

How long will you hold my eggs?

Seven days from the "ready for pickup" email, in the fridge with your name on the carton.

Are the eggs washed or graded?

Neither — they're nest-run. Collected fresh and kept cold, but not washed, graded, or sized. You'll get a mix of sizes and colors in every carton. Rinse before use if you like.

What if I need to cancel?

Just reply to your order email and we'll refund you, no fuss.
